Hi, we're Let Mommy Sleep!
For the past 14 years, our team of Baby Nurses (RN) and Night Nannies has been helping families across the US. The goal of the Newborn and Postpartum Support (NAPS) Certification is to provide evidence-based education and accountability for in-home newborn care providers, postpartum doulas and the families they support.
This training ensures postpartum doulas, newborn caregivers and families alike knowing that their training contains the most updated, safest and evidence-based practices.
A third-party Advisory Board of subject matter experts reviews and approves NAPS, ensures credibility and accuracy.
The NAPS Certificate is based on the training written by our clinical team and awarded a state level government contract from 2015 -2021 (ending due to covid). It's been used by nannies, pediatricians and nursing colleges and segments have been cited by organizations such as INOVA Health and ACOG.
Once complete, students will be able to be listed on the National NAPS Registry.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is NAPS Certification different than other newborn care classes I’ve seen?
The Newborn and Postpartum Support (NAPS) curriculum consists only of evidence-based education, evaluated and continually reviewed by a third-party board of licensed clinical providers and subject matter experts.
Certification is good for 2 years and caregivers are listed on the National NAPS Registry for doulas, newborn care providers and nannies. This assures transparency and verifies that instruction is up to date and follows research and data based training.
Will I Get a Certificate I Can Show to Employers?
Yes. You will receive a certificate after completion of the classes. You will also be listed on the National NAPS Registry.

2 years from your successful completion of class. After 2 years, continuing education includes: new and updated recommendations from sources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, Safe Sleep and Minimizing the Risk of SIDS refresher and more.
I’ve already taken Newborn Care Specialist classes, do I really have to take your classes to get on the NAPS Registry?
You will get a 1/2 off code. We respect that you have paid for and completed newborn care training. But because we can’t verify what was taught in those classes, everyone on the NAPS Registry must complete our evidence-based classes. Contact Let Mommy Sleep and we’ll issue you a promo code.
I’ve never taken a Newborn Care class, but have worked as a postpartum doula for a long time. Do I really have to take your classes to get on the NAPS Registry?
We don’t create barriers for respected night nannies and postpartum doulas. Contact us for a promo code to take the certificate path for free. You do have to complete the classes but there is no charge.
I’m an expecting/new parent. Are there newborn care classes for me too?
Yes! A Registered Nurse or Let Mommy Sleep Postpartum Doula can come to your home to teach swaddling, diaper changing, infant sleep, first aid and more.
Do you teach groups and nursing students?
We sure do! Contact us to schedule.
